All my colleagues have been posting some Santa's wishlist at #SilverGoldStackers. I don't celebrate Christmas but I still have my wishlist. I decided to make a post about a collection that has been on my mind for a while, but it is a beautiful collection produced by multiple companies, such as Sunshine Mint. It is also a bit pricey because all the bullion has 2 oz, so I understand why it is like that. The collection is called Egyptian Gods. The art design was made by an artist called Heidi Wastweet, mostly through all the collection, at least the majority of them. The collection has no country citation in either the observe or reverse in every coin. I think that it was mainly sold on Providentmetal's website. Ancient mythology is a topic that always amazes me, I love hearing stories about Gods in the ancient world (Egyptians, Greeks, Vikings, etc). So let's analyze each of the coins here:

  In this coin, we have the goddess Wadjet, this was a local goddess of lower Egypt. The figure of the goddess in the observe is half human and half snake with wings. While the reverse is the same goddess in her totally snake version. The details are amazing, on both sides of the bullion you can find elements of the Egyptian culture such as hieroglyphs. It was produced by SilverTowne. Providentmetals still have it on sale for $69.25, without shipping. On eBay, you can find a bit more expensive for $74. If you think that it is 2oz of silver, it isn't bad, but it is a bit of money that I would need to spend. I could only find this bullion on Ebay for 83$ without shipping.

  This is another god with a very interesting format. The observe we have the human half-form with an ibis head with some writing tools, he was a god associated with the writing system in Egypt. He was also associated with the dead judgment and it is considered an important god that was beside Ra. In the reverse, we can find another version of the god as a baboon.   Osiris was a famous god, known as the god of fertility, the afterlife, death and resurrection. Most of the Osiris myth was found written inside pyramids. He was the brother of Seth. The observe we can see the resurrected form of the god. In the reverse, you can see the mummified remains of the god. I found this bullion for 88 $ at eBay also without shipping.

  Ra's daughter, always represented with Ra's eye on top of her head. This goddess is important and represents the power of Ra. She is believed to cause plagues, the wrath of Ra. The observe is the goddess in her human form with a cat, or lion, head and the eye of Ra on top. The reverse you can find her total cat form seated in a sarcophagus. Found it only on eBay for 93$.

  Another important god representing kingship, the skies and sun. The pharao was a representation of Horus, since he was the sun of Ra and represented kingship. In the observe there is his human form with a falcon head. You can find hieroglyphs representing Horus ( the falcon) and the eye of Ra. In addition, you have a bonus in this bullion, the silhouette of Seth. The reverse has the falcon representation over a snake and a cloth that was used by the Egyptian Pharaoh. At eBay, you can find this bullion for 86$.

  This one is one of the earliest deities, the origin of Nile. Khnum also is known as the origin of human children, procreation. His human form in the Observe has a ram head with a human form being sculpted in clay. The reverse has his ram form. Minted by Sunshine Mint. This one I only found for 295$ on eBay.

  The only personality that really existed from the collection is Cleopatra, the ancient queen of Egypt. She sided once with the Roman Empire and had an affair with Mark Anthony, a Roman politician. But Octavian decided to declare war against Egypt and invaded the Egyptian Empire, Cleopatra killed herself at this moment. The Observe you can see the eye of Horus a bowl of figs. The reverse is the image of the goddess Isis which was believed to be reincarnated into Cleopatra. Found it on eBay for 179$ Minted by Elemetal Mint.

  This deity is associated with power, including military, and fertility. The observe has his human form with crossed arms and crocodile head. He has been associated with the Nile Crocodile. You can see also plants growing, a symbol of fertility and the Nile in the background. On the reverse of the coin you can see a crocodile over some river symbols (fishes and water waves). At eBay, I could find it for 119$.

  Anubis replaced Osiris to rule the underworld. This god is associated with regeneration and the soil of the Nile River in addition. In the observe you can see the justice scale in addition to the humanoid form with a dog's head. After the death, the heart of the person was weighed with a feather. If the heart was lighter than a feather, the heart would go to the afterlife, if not the heart would be devoured by a crocodile. In the reverse, you can see a dog representation of the god.
