My collection during this past week is under a bit of pause. Since my last post, I didn't receive any new items. I bought two new silvers which I will talk about later in the post but they are taking so long to arrive. But I will preview my two latest acquisitions that haven't arrived yet. While that, I have been watching the market around, and debating (with myself) about my next step. One thing that I have been thinking of and remembering is some talks into the SGS server. The eternal discussion of buying gold in grams or ounces.

  Some gold in a small size started to give me some impulse to buy, but why? They cost around 100 CAD. But probably the most experienced people guessed already what I was talking about. I am talking about 0.5 g gold coin. When we think initially is: "That gold I can buy. This coin is affordable for someone spending 100 CAD once in a while to buy around 2 ounces of silver.

  But if we think about that 1 Oz of gold is around 31g. we would need 62 of this coin to get to an ounce, for that we are talking about 5,580 CAD. However, if you buy a regular 1 OZ you can find something around 3,786 CAD (paying with Credit Card) in the same store. We are talking 180 CAD per gram in one hand and 122 CAD per gram in the other hand. Amazing right? And if you take a look in any other coin or bar selling by grams you find this pattern.

  And the solution how to get a real gold coin? I can save 50$ a month for the next 6 years and a half so I can buy directly 1 oz. Or maybe go a bit smaller. Save the money for the next 6-8 months to reach 360 -390 CAD and buy a 1/10 Oz coin. Which the price per gram will get closer to the 1oz price per gram.

  Let's move to our next topic. So I can participate in @thisismylife initiative. I recently bought two silver pieces. the first one the 2024 1oz Silver coin, which is somewhere between the US and Canada with no updates since May 13th :( . The amazing @silversaver888 sent it on May 8th. At least I have a picture of the package hehehe.   Another coin that I am waiting for is an eBay purchase. A 25-cent Canadian coin, not 100% silver, but it has 0.800 Silver and 0.200 Copper. I bought it because it was a cheap opportunity to buy this coin and also had a nice cougar in there. I love animals and this one is nice. I bought it last May 19th, and probably I will get it in the next few days, hopefully, like my Hive silver :(

  So I hope that the reading was somewhat interesting for you guys since I am learning every day and week more about this precious metals world. Again I am not against the grams purchase, because you can also think in the collection way of thinking. For example, that 0.5 g coin that I showed only has a 1oz version, so you buy the 1 oz or the 0.5g if you want that design in your collection.

A eterna discussão sobre comprar ouro em gramas ou onças.

  Um pouco de ouro em tamanho pequeno começou a me dar um impulso para comprar, mas por quê? Eles custam cerca de 100 CAD. Mas provavelmente as pessoas mais experientes já adivinharam sobre o que eu estava falando. Estou falando da moeda de ouro de 0,5 g. Quando pensamos inicialmente, é: "Esse ouro eu posso comprar. Esta moeda é acessível para alguém que gasta 100 CAD de vez em quando para comprar cerca de 2 onças de prata.

  Mas se pensarmos que 1 onça de ouro é cerca de 31 g, precisaríamos de 62 dessas moedas para chegar a uma onça. Estamos falando de 5.580 CAD. No entanto, se você comprar uma onça regular, pode encontrar algo em torno de 3.786 CAD (pagando com cartão de crédito) na mesma loja. Estamos falando de 180 CAD por grama de um lado e 122 CAD por grama do outro. Incrível, certo? E se você observar qualquer outra moeda ou barra vendida em gramas, encontrará esse padrão.

  E a solução para conseguir uma moeda de ouro real? Posso economizar 50$ por mês nos próximos 6 anos e meio para comprar diretamente 1 oz. Ou talvez ir um pouco menor. Economizar o dinheiro nos próximos 6-8 meses para alcançar 360-390 CAD e comprar uma moeda de 1/10 oz. O preço por grama se aproximará do preço por grama da moeda de 1 oz.

  Vamos para o próximo tópico. Para que eu possa participar da iniciativa @thisismylife. Recentemente comprei duas peças de prata. A primeira é a moeda de prata de 1 oz de 2024, que está em algum lugar entre os EUA e o Canadá sem atualizações desde 13 de maio :( . A incrível @silversaver888 a enviou em 8 de maio.   Outra moeda que estou esperando é uma compra no eBay. Uma moeda canadense de 25 centavos, não 100% prata, mas com 0,800 prata e 0,200 cobre. Comprei porque foi uma oportunidade barata de comprar essa moeda e também tinha um lindo puma nela. Adoro animais e esse é bonito. Comprei em 19 de maio e provavelmente a receberei nos próximos dias, espero que como minha prata Hive :(
